Job summary

National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) has published a vacancy for Young Professional (Planning) in New Delhi.

Project: Naya Safar Yojna Scheme and Swach Pawan Neel Gagan Swasth NCR (NCRPB)

Contract: Contractual position under NCRPB project

Master’s degree (or higher) in Urban Planning/ City Planning/ Regional Planning/ Town and Country Planning/ Transport Planning/ Environmental Planning; over a basic Master’s Degree in Geography/ Economics or a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/ Architecture/ Physical Planning (with minimum 60% marks). Working knowledge in GIS-based mapping and database systems is required .

Eligibility criteria

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in Urban Planning/ City Planning/ Regional Planning/ Town and Country Planning/ Transport Planning/ Environmental Planning; over a basic Master’s Degree in Geography/ Economics or a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/ Architecture/ Physical Planning (with minimum 60% marks).
  • Working knowledge in GIS-based mapping and database systems is required .
  • Contract / tenure: Contractual position under NCRPB project

Key requirements (from official notice)

  • A ssist in preparation, review, and quality assurance of functional plans, sub-regional plans, and other statutory or non-statutory planning documents.
  • Support on operationalisation of plan policies, including preparation of guidance notes, etc.
  • Assist in reviews of sub-regional plans, master/ development plans, etc. prepared by State Town Planning Departments, UDAs, and ULBs as per the regional plan.
  • Assist in preparation of coordination notes for use in inter-state or inter-agency forums.
  • Provide inputs on urban utilities planning.
  • Assist on urban & regional development, including carrying capacity assessments, climate resilience, and green infrastructure.
  • Assist in preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for infrastructure projects.
  • Assist in conducting various studies, analyses, assessments for infrastructure projects.
